The Italy-based indie games publisher 505 Games and the China-based indie games publisher/developer CE-Asia are today very happy and excited to announce that their high-speed multiplayer sports game “Laser League: World Arena” is now a free-to-play title for PC via Steam.

Laser League: World Arena is rebranded as a free to play fictional sport game setting in the future based on the original Laser League launched in 2018. This simple but highly competitive game defines its winners in the blink of an eye with colorful high-speed chasing, dodging and colliding.

Owners of the original Laser League will automatically receive a Welcome Pack when entering Laser League: World Arena on Steam. This Welcome pack contains an Upgrade Pack, a limited Kit, a limited Smash weapon, and 1000 Platinum Coins as a thank you for the support.

Welcome to 2150, the Arena awaits you.

Team up as 2-to-3 player squads and fight against opponents in the laser ramping arena. Use captured laser nodes and your weapon to vaporize the rival team. The team that sweeps out all opponents first wins. The key to success outmaneuvering the enemy while hijacking laser nodes.

Seems simple enough, but Laser League: World Arena’s challenge quickly becomes apparent. In this test of reflexes and tactics, only the team who utilizes different classes can dominate, become the champion, and claim rewards.

A diverse selection of game modes means there’s something for everyone:

– QUICK MATCH: Compete with online players under neon light.
– PRIVATE MATCH: Set your own private room to have fun with up to 8 friends.
– DUEL 1V1: Toe-to-toe duel.
– LOCAL MATCH: Have fun with friends in front of one screen.

Choose from among six powerful classes and compete in nearly 30 maps at seven stadiums across the world.

– BLADE: use melee attacks to eliminate opponents.
– SMASH: repel opponents across the entire pitch with a long-range dash attack.
– SNIPE: drop a marker and teleport back to that point on command. A deadly laser appears between you and the marker until you teleport.
– GHOST: fade into invincibility for a few seconds to safely grab laser nodes or revive teammates.
– THIEF: steal a laser node activated by the opposition.
– SHOCK: create an area that stuns rivals with an electric shock.

Laser League: World Arena also provides additional elements for players to shine. There are 18 modifier effects to adjust each class to suit players’ different playstyle, 16 power-ups with the possibility to drastically alter the match, more than 160 characters and nearly 400 cosmetics to choose. Customizing your character is just as fun as battling it out in the arena.
