The Krakow-based (Poland) indie games publisher All in! Games and Lausanne-based (Switzerland) indie games developer Naraven Games, today announced with great thrill and happiness that their tragicomic adventure game “BACKFIREWALL_” is coming to PC (via Steam) and consoles (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch) in Q1 2023.

Furthermore! Today they also shared a brand new gameplay trailer for “BACKFIREWALL_” which recently featured on the MiX showcase, revealing more of the quirky tale of life inside a smartphone for a sassy self-aware Operating System OS9 faced with replacement by the far-better-optimized OS10.

Backfirewall_ is an amazing nano-journey where you manipulate your surroundings to solve puzzles, hunt down bugs, and use cheat-codes in an attempt to disrupt the update. Discover what truly goes on inside your smartphone and contemplate the perpetual struggle between self-preservation and noble sacrifice. Make up your own mind: does OS9 really deserve to be discarded, or is there a way to let him stay?

This is a narrative adventure unlike no other where discovery and exploration go hand in hand, and where the myriad of colorful and quirky characters the player meets along the way adds a fun and wholesome experience.

Curious to know what might go on inside your smartphone? Backfirewall_ reveals more of the digital landscape brimming with life, from the telltale conversations and communication highways to the bureaucracy of Wifi, each a piece of personified software with its own rich file history.
