Waterful is a peaceful nature-builder where you dig riverbeds to guide water through tiny desert valleys. Grow a variety of plants and discover all the animals drawn to the new habitats. Complete quests and unlock new contraptions to transform the dry landscape into a lush oasis!

REVIVE THE LAND

Dig riverbeds, spread spring water and make plants grow!

Different river shapes and water levels create different vegetation. Since digging and filling is free, you can experiment freely and discover at your own pace.

FIND HIDDEN ANIMALS

Your plants will attract a variety of wild animals.

Some are easier to spot than others, and some only show up in special conditions.

You get a sticker for each new animal to add to your scrapbook, slowly turning it into a personal field guide. Will you find even the rarest animals and fill the entire book?

MASTER TINY CHALLENGES

Water is your only real limitation, so use it well! Connect new springs to reactivate them or upgrade existing ones to carry more water. Unlock simple contraptions to guide water uphill and into new terrain.

Once you’re happy with one valley you can move on to the next. The terrain will grow slightly more difficult over time.

Use water, contraptions, and a deepening understanding of the ecosystem to progress further and earn a high score.

CREATE AND UNWIND

There’s absolutely no time pressure or painstaking resource gathering in Waterful. Just you and your tiny nature diorama. If you like goal-oriented creativity at a gentle, relaxed pace, WATERFUL is the game for you!

About Findling Games and dev background:

Findling Games is the game dev studio of Germany-based solo developer Lenja Kaufmann, who is deeply embedded in HTW Berlin’s game development scene: she is enrolled in a master’s programme and also has her dev studio office at the university. Currently, Lenja is working on her first game project, Waterful. The cozy minimalist nature builder is inspired by Lenja’s past vanlife travels through Spain, Portugal, Türkiye, and Georgia, where she fell in love with beautiful dry landscapes 🙂
