28 APRIL 2020 – The Game Production Company announced today that their debut fantasy playground “Adventure in Aellion” will be launching into Steam Early Access on 22 July 2020, alongside a brand new trailer and free public beta.

Adventure in Aellion is an open-world fantasy epic combining the game style of classic Legend of Zelda with seamless drop-in, drop-out multiplayer to create a world ripe for exploration.

During its Early Access development, Aellion’s open world will grow to be an expansive adventure brimming with secrets. With a faithful steed of your choosing, ride through unknown landscapes and bustling towns, or head straight to the darkest dungeon you can find. Unlock tools and treasures to help you in your quest, or take on the toughest enemies with your fists alone – the choice is yours.

Designed for anyone to be able to pick up and play, Adventure in Aellion pairs simple controls with tricky puzzles – no matter your experience, anyone can be a hero of Aellion.

Players can play the single-player beta now by signing up to their official Discord channel, with a free co-op update coming soon.

Game Production Company Director O’Donoghue said:
“After our trip to EGX London in 2019, we started work on a brand new build for our growing community based on the great feedback we received at the event.

We’re now about to deliver a Beta featuring the combat, exploration, UI and dungeon improvements we’ve made based on community feedback and suggestions, we hope after this wider launch we can make even more improvements made based on feedback, and make Aellion the best adventure it can be.”

Adventure in Aellion will be launching into Early Access on 22 July 2020. A free beta is now available for fans exclusively on their Discord channel.

Based in Manchester, UK, The Game Production Company was founded by Luke O’Donoghue, later joined by close friend and games art graduate Elliott Dodsworth.

Inspired by classic adventure games they played in their childhood, they cite the best part of developing Adventure in Aellion so far was watching three generations of a family play their game together at EGX 2019.
