When a pornographic film is made on a University campus, the Dean brings in lawyers to sue the reporter who breaks the story.
During mediation at a rival university, a storm stops all parties from leaving, allowing you to find out what is going on, and perhaps get a bit of action too.
Yes, I know. This is a somewhat unusual background story for an erotic game. Well, that just happens to be the case with NLT Media’s erotic RPG/visual novel “Lust Epidemic“.
As the game focuses more on the main RPG side than the sex side, and as such it works very well, giving the game quite an unusual feel.
I mean, sure. The game is played straight for the most part. However, the visual novel aspect can be quite dramatic and complex at times, with occasional choices thrown in for good measure too.

Even though “Lust Epidemic” isn’t a thriller or horror game by any means, the game’s university sure looks rather creepy at times.
Furthermore, there are also occasional snippets of speech too, although, for most of the time, the characters are silent.

There are plenty of hot babes to be had in the game. Well, at least if you play out your cards right.
As for the game’s visuals. Well, most of Lust Epidemic’s graphics are very nice – whilst not particularly large, the in-game characters are nicely detailed and move well, with the bulk of the detail being left for characters when they talk – although they do have limited expressions.

The in-game graphics aren’t exactly super fancy by any means, but the graphics look rather nice nevertheless.
So, what about in-game items and whatnot then? Well, collectables and items of interest are denoted in-game by a flashing diamond. Dotted around the place are various papers, which detail some of the game’s story.
Movement is good too, being responsive to both mouse or keyboard presses. Talking and upgrading your affection levels is easy to do with the simple talking system.

Not only does Lust Epidemic’s map and inventory screen look good, but both of them are also easy to use as well.
Other than that, you will find the game’s inventory screen via your phone (from which you can save and access the bonus area – to view any already access lewd movies), as well as very simple map, which allows you to easily find which rooms you do and do not have access to.
And while you’re playing the game, you can also look out for pages from the Kamasutra, which various characters will help you decode (if you are well in enough with them to do so).
Collect enough pages, and you can then see a sex scene in the scene player – in this game, you have really got to work for your lewd stuff, although there is also a fair bit that is needed for the story, as well.

There are plenty of pros when it comes to the positive aspects of “Lust epidemic”. However, there’s a handful of cons to be found in the game as well. For example, it isn’t always obvious what you should do, the game’s music is pretty “meh”, and movie sections can’t be skipped.
The game’s sex scenes are simply animated (which makes a change from static scenes), but they are nicely drawn with plenty of detail and appropriate sound effects too.

As nice as the games lewd content is, you do have to earn most of the lewd stuff (it’s totally worth it though).
I would also like to point out that “Lust Epidemic” is a long game, so don’t expect the game to be over in just a few minutes of gaming.
I don’t see that as a problem though, as I find “Lust Epidemic” to be a fun, interesting and complex 18+ erotic RPG/visual novel.
So if you want to enjoy a well-made, sexy and lewd RPG/visual novel, then you should give “Lust Epidemic” a try for sure.
Pros:
+ Very nice graphics, and the sex scenes are animated
+ Need to work for the lewd stuff
+ Interesting story
+ Will take a while to complete !
+ Can replay the fun stuff if you need to…
+ Interesting characters
Cons:
– The game’s music is okay, but its pretty repetitive
– Movie sections seem like they can’t be skipped
– Path finding could be a little bit better
– It isn’t always obvious what you need to do
– Movie sections can’t be skipped
Gameplay: 4/5
Graphics: 4/5
Sound and music: 3/5
Controls: 4/5
Replay value: 3/5
Story: 4/5

Verdict: 4/5
Lust Epidemic offers its players a very lewd, interesting, fun and complex story-driven visual novel/RPG gameplay experience. However, in Lust Epidemic you really have to earn the game’s sex scenes.
It’s well worth it though, since the animated sex scenes move well and are nicely detailed, whilst the main game is fun and simple to play. Simply put, “Lust Epidemic” is well worth checking out if you’re into lewd visual novel/RPGs.
