Press release:
Tuesday 1 September 2015
From today, Evilized Games is offering gamers across the globe the chance to win exclusive, handmade models from the forthcoming madcap cartoon caper Disposable Heroes.
The game, scheduled for Steam Early Access release on 1 October 2015, features four hapless, dim-witted, narcissistic characters who – unfortunately for all sentient life everywhere – represent the last hope of their kingdom.
With the light extinguished by a curse, and the entire royal army slain, The Wizard, The Gladiator, The Princess and The Orc must embark upon a terrifying mission to bring back the head of the king’s son and return peace and prosperity to the wretched land.
In the game you must help them through 70 levels of ever-increasing insanity, battling hordes of demonic, bloodthirsty creatures and devilish machinery using weapons, lotions and potions, however back in our world you still have the opportunity to prevail by winning your very own set of Heroes to watch over you for all time.
To be in with a chance of winning the little Heroes, you just need to identify where in the world they are. An accidental stumble into a portal has transported them across several dimensions and has left them scattered across the globe with little more than a smartphone and their wits. And as they don’t have much in the way of wits, they need your help.
Every day from Tuesday September 1, a picture posted online will show you where they are. You must identify it before they can move to their next location – and to the next picture. A new location will be posted every day so long as the previous day’s location has been correctly guessed. Guesses can be made via Twitter, Facebook or at blog.disposableheroesgame.com.
All correct answers will go into a pot; with one correct answer winning a limited edition Disposable Heroes t-shirt every day until launch.
When the Heroes have made it safely back to their home world, via the portal at Tintagel Castle in Cornwall, England, we will draw the overall winner, who will find the charming, 10cm high one-off models, painstakingly hand-crafted by British model maker and stop-motion animator Nicola Welbourne, winging their way via the mail portal to their home, to live with them for all eternity.
