The controversial indie hit “Drug Dealer Simulator“, praised by gamers and streamers alike (Hi, Markiplier!), is getting a sequel! “Drug Dealer Simulator 2” is an open-world crime sim set on Isla Sombra, a refuge for outlaws, in the early 2000s. Developed by Byterunners, the creators of the original game, and published by Movie Games, the game is slated for a 2023 PC release.

The following conversations were captured by our surveillance airplane during a flyby of Isla Sombra. We are convinced that the [CENSORED] dictatorship island is a refuge for outlaws, and a major drug trafficking hub.

MAN 1: I tell this guy, you thought the first one was big? Isla Sombra is much bigger. You could start a cartel here, man. Hire people, give them ranks. They’ll work for you.

MAN 2: You make it look easy.

MAN 1: Nothing comes easy. You are a nobody when you arrive. No resources, no connections. You gotta work for it. Set up hideouts, find suppliers, make the product, sell it.

MAN 2: I’d watch out. [CENSORED] won’t like it when you stir their waters.

Drug Dealer Simulator 2 aims to bring the crime sim to a new level

DDS2 rewinds time to the early 2000s. You play as Eddie, the mentor and friend of the protagonist from the first game. The story starts as you arrive at Isla Sombra, a refuge for outlaws like you. You’re a nobody on a foreign, hostile island, without resources or connections. But you don’t plan to just give up, do you?

Prove your worth, use your talents and get your life back! Making a fortune along the way won’t hurt either…

Features:

Many improved and many new ways of acquiring, processing and distributing narcotics. Buy and produce drugs or byproducts, and process, mix and/or purify them to achieve the desired quality.

Expansive and varied environments, from small villages to harbors to towns and everything in between.

Improved A.I., both for NPCs and enemies. Militia can raid a village and harass the townsfolk.

Unique economy with two currencies – the local one and the much desired U.S. dollar.

Early 2000s technology and an atmosphere of a Caribbean dictatorship, full of colorful characters with their own ambitions and agendas.

Drug Dealer Simulator 2 is set to release on PC in 2023. Byterunners and Movie Games are also working on a large free update for the first game titled Drug Dealer Simulator: Endgame, introducing new story threads, characters, and mechanics. You can expect it in late November.
