Most of you probably know me pretty well by now, but for those who don´t. I love metal, horror movies and games such as Brutal Doom and Blood. Besides that, I also like animes/mangas such as Berserk. So, yes. I´m the kind of person that enjoys the really dark and brutal aspects of life. That´s also why I found a lot of potential in Wolf Brew Games gothic combat-puzzle platform adventure game “Slain” (for Windows, Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, PSV and 3DS) I mean, the game is like 100% pure fu**ing Metal to the bone (just listen to the epic “Slain” soundtrack). And I’m not even exaggerating either. As “Slain” feels (and looks) like a mix of Slayer, Berserk, Ghosts and Goblins and Golden Axe.

Slain is inspired by games such as Ghosts and Goblins, Altered Beast, Shadow Of The Beast and Golden Axe.
And just check out “Slain´s” awesome pixel graphics and animations (“Slain” looks like a nextgen arcade game or something like that). So no wonder why there are so many Gamers out that there can´t wait to play “Slain” as soon as possible. And the background story are just as brutal as the actual game itself. You play as Bathoryn, a hero who seeks to kill seven deadly overlords. As he (you) needs to do that in-order to liberate the seven great towers from evil (as that will save the Gothic world which Bathoryn lives in). That´s going to be a really hard task though , as “Slain” seems to be a really hard game. And I’m talking old-school Ninja Gaiden and Ghost N Goblins hard (Yes, you will die a lot for sure). You see. Death comes in many shapes and forms in “Slain” (Monsters, traps, bosses you name it!) Not only that, you will also have to solve puzzles as well. Nevertheless, I’m still willing to play through the whole game. As the soundtrack, graphics and slaying are more than enough for me to go through all the horrors, there is in “Slain”.
And I´ll have you know that the Wolfbrew team is a really talented one. And please allow me to explain for you why. Wolfbrew consists of Andrew Gilmour (ex Imagitek designs Gametek, Cyclone studios,Ritual Entertainment, Naughty Dog), Nick Alfieri (Digerati Distribution) and EX GTA V designer Asa Dang. So, yeah i´m really excited to play “Slain” as soon as possible. Speaking of which, the game is set for a release on the 9th of December for PC (the console versions won´t be released until sometime next year). In other words, “Slain” will save my Christmas for sure (as Swedish winters tends to be very cold and dark).
So what about you guys? Are you excited for “Slain” as well? If so, let us know your thoughts in the comment section!
