The Tokyo-based (Japan) indie games publisher Phoenixx Inc. and Kyoto-based (Japan) indie games developer Nukenin LLC´, are today very happy and excited to announce that their lightning-fast pick-up-and-play RTS “Jelly Troops“, is coming to PC via Steam in 2025.

Test out deceptive battle plans in a limited-time playtest during Steam RTS Fest from Monday, Jan. 20th to Monday, Jan. 27th, 2025.

No resources, no complex matchups, all strategy — summon a squad of goopy golems and engage in lightning-quick skirmishes where power, positioning, and trickery win the day. As part of Steam RTS Fest, the upcoming Jelly Troops playtest will include an all-new private matchmaking system enabling matches against friends online on the following dates:

Friday, Jan. 24, 2025 — 3:00 – 4:00 PM PST // 8:00 – 9:00 PM PST
Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025 — 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM PST // 3:00 – 4:00 PM PST // 8:00 – 9:00 PM PST
Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025 — 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM PST

Raise an adorable army of slimes to outnumber opponents, redirect enemy movement with well-placed walls, and capture flags placed in contentious areas of the map. Create a custom playstyle that either maximizes a single strength or strikes a balance of all three activities.

Come for the cutesy cartoon aesthetic, stay for the simplistic yet deep, highly replayable gameplay. Enjoy countless pick-up-and-play battles between friends in split-screen co-op, or try out different strategies online against competing commanders across the globe.

“Our most recent playtest yielded so much valuable feedback. Private matchmaking was the most common request from our last playtest, and we are proud to have delivered on that request,” said waken, solo developer at Nukenin LLC.

To join the playtest, click the “Download Demo” button on the Jelly Troops Steam page while logged into Steam. At the times listed above, you will be able to join random online matches.
