Press release:
Kraków, Poland, April 22, 2025.
The Kraków-based (Poland) solo indie games developer Tyci today announced with great joy and thrill that their sci-fi horror co-op game “Astrumis – Survive Together“, is coming to PC via Steam on May 26th (2025).

A playtest is now open for sign-ups, and a demo is also available. Inspired by games like Split Fiction and Alien: Isolation, Astrumis presents a new Sci-fi twist to the co-op genre. Players must solve puzzles, complete co-op minigames, and communicate under pressure to escape from a mysterious, invisible predator.

Uncover Project A.S.T.R.U.M.I.S.

In space, one thing is certain: you are never truly alone. The site of a secret alien mutation experiment, Project A.S.T.R.U.M.I.S., has failed. An invisible creature, undetectable to the human eye, now lurks the very spaceship that once brought it to life. Only you and one other survivor remain. Trust your partner, solve the ship’s secrets, and fight to return home safely.

Two Roles, One Goal

Two heads are better than one. Get ready to experience a two-player campaign where you and a friend’s survival depends on your ability to work together as a team. One player takes on the role of John Kowalski, the Survivor, who explores the ship’s corridors, reroutes power, and hacks into control systems in real-time. Meanwhile, the other player takes the role of Yang Sungbin, the Mission Control Operator, who can view the ship’s layout and use surveillance footage to monitor the alien’s movements to guide their partner to safety. Never leave a friend behind! Players must rely on one another to overcome time-sensitive challenges, environmental obstacles, and utilize hiding spots to remain undetected.

Work Together, Escape Together

Astrumis offers a story-driven journey filled with tension, cinematic cutscenes, and fully voice-acted dialogue across nine levels. From the airlock to your escape pod, each level introduces new survival mechanics and challenges that test your coordination. Encounter various scenarios, including levels with limited visibility, gravity-defying sequences, and many more challenging mechanics. Always expect the unexpected—plans may fall apart, systems may malfunction, and the creature is always one step behind you. As you progress, former survival and mini-game mechanics will reoccur, challenging your team’s skill retention along every step of the way.

Calling All Playtesters—Don’t forget to bring a friend!

Those interested in helping with the launch of Astrumis – Survive Together are encouraged to join the Discord community for more details on how to participate in the upcoming playtest. Tyci welcomes players with the special opportunity to provide valuable feedback during this stage of development.

Full Game Features:

Exclusively co-op campaign, this experience offers replayability through two different gameplay experiences.

Survivor – Play as John Kowalski, a fearless engineer, if you enjoy being thrown directly into the action. You’ll explore the ship’s corridors, reroute power, and hack into control systems.

Missions Control – Play as Yang Sungbin, a systems expert, if you prefer puzzles that challenge your critical thinking. You’ll guide your partner using maps, cameras, and remote controls.

Cooperative challenges allow you to learn recurring survival mechanics, including timing critical moments, solving puzzles, and playing mini-games that test your team’s ability to work as one.

9 mission levels featuring fully voiced dialogue and cinematic cutscenes to make your safe descent back home to Earth.

Astrumis – Survive Together is launching on Steam on May 26th. Those interested in participating in the playtest should join the Discord for more information.

About Tyci:

Tyci is a solo indie developer currently working on Astrumis – Survive Together, an asymmetrical co-op horror game built in Unreal Engine 5. Co-op games have always been their favorite to play and create, leading to the development of several smaller multiplayer prototypes over the years, some of which found a following online. Now, with Astrumis, they’re taking things to a much larger scale, focusing on delivering a deeper, more immersive cooperative experience that pushes the boundaries of their previous work.
