‘Mistfall Hunter’ is out now for PC and consoles

SAN FRANCISCO — July 30, 2026 — Skystone Games and developer Bellring Games have launched Mistfall Hunter, the dark-fantasy extraction ARPG, worldwide on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), PlayStation, and XBOX. It is available Day One on Xbox Game Pass.

The launch caps a breakout debut. During its Steam Next Fest Open Beta, Mistfall Hunter drew nearly 430,000 players and charted on Steam’s Top Demos and Top Trending Upcoming lists.

The gods are dead, and the Gyldenmist is devouring the world. Revived by a mysterious girl named Dew, players awaken as Gyldhunters and descend into a bleak, forbidden realm to gather precious Gyldenblod and repair the broken Web of Fate. Every run is a high-stakes hunt: loot deep, survive the fog, and carve a path to safety before rival hunters take everything. Reach a Returner Woodling and you extract with your haul intact; fall, and it’s all left behind. Hunt solo or in three-player squads, wield magic and steel with weapons you can swap mid-battle, and return to a world that reshapes itself every season.

Season 1: “Soul Hunt”

The game’s first season is called Soul Hunt. Working alongside Dew, hunters set out to thwart the Varg clan’s attempt to forge a false god, tracking the soul-warped creatures born of the clan’s experiments and returning their lost souls to the Web of Fate.

Season highlights:

• Free 7-day login event — unlock the Slumbering Contract at no cost.

• Soul Harvest themed mode, live August 14 — a season-spanning event across every map and difficulty tier, with new tasks, seasonal events, and exclusive grand rewards.

• A new difficulty, Brandrgarde-Cataclysm — a punishing new tier with its own missions and rewards.

Season 1 also expands the arsenal and the bestiary: a new shield-and-spear weapon archetype for the Withered Knight, built for balanced attack and defense; a set of class-unique weapons, each bound to one of the world’s bosses and its legend; and a new elite enemy, the Soul-Gnawer, a shapeshifting witch twisted into a soul-hungry aberration, who stirs from dormancy only for hunters who come prepared to face her.
