New York — September 28, 2026 — Indie developer Twin Beacon Studio and Publisher Loopr Partners have announced All Rats on Deck, an online co-op adventure about a group of rats, a very questionable steamboat, and a journey through dangerous waters. The game is planned to launch on Steam in Q4 2026 with the demo being available during October’s Steam Next Fest.

In All Rats on Deck, players take on the role of rat buddies who have been forced to leave their home. With just some scraps and loose parts, the group puts together a makeshift paddle steamboat and sets out through the swamps in search of a way to reach the open ocean.

The boat is as much a part of the adventure as the crew. Up to four players will need to work together to operate the steamboat, deal with obstacles, gather resources and keep the engine running as they make their way through increasingly dangerous waters.

Keeping the engine fed is particularly important, and fortunately, it isn’t too picky about what goes into it. Players can throw resources and other items in to keep moving, although what happens won’t exactly be predictable.

The journey also comes with a boat-mounted grapple gun, allowing the crew to interact with the world around them as they navigate. With treacherous waters, obstacles and a boat that can barely be described as seaworthy, keeping everything together will require players to communicate and work as a team.

Grapple Gun: Use the boat’s mounted grapple gun to interact with the environment and help your crew get around.

Proximity Voice Chat: Communicate with your friends as you work together or inevitably get separated.

Chaotic Co-op Moments: Work together, improvise, and deal with whatever goes wrong along the way.

All Rats on Deck features online co-op for up to four players alongside proximity voice chat, making communication a key part of surviving the trip and creating some hilarious memories. Players can choose to carefully coordinate their next move, or see what happens when they push their improvised steamboat and fellow rats far beyond their limits.

All Rats on Deck is currently planned for release in Q4 2026 on Steam.
