A lot has changed since the original announcement of the game, and over the past few months, the developer has put a lot of work into progression and the tutorial. They’ve also expanded the building system, added farming, and improved animal behaviour. There are now new resources to discover, more things to craft and cook, and more reasons to explore every corner of the forest.

Move through lush forests, uncover hidden materials, study the creatures around you, and document your discoveries as you go. Gather what you need to build a home of your own, then make it truly yours by crafting furniture, decorations, and useful objects to create a warm and inviting retreat. Life in the forest also means growing and preparing your own food: plant and harvest crops, collect natural ingredients, and experiment with more than thirty different recipes. Wildlife becomes part of your everyday surroundings, whether you’re caring for chickens and sheep, keeping bees, or simply observing animals in their natural habitat. Rather than relying on combat or facing constant threats, Under Canopies offers a gentler take on survival, encouraging you to explore, create, nurture, and build a meaningful life in harmony with the world around you.
