1st October, 2026 – London, UK – Super Rare Originals and developer Pixel Reign are excited to announce that the boomer-shooter roguelite Moros Protocol is out now on PlayStation 5 & Nintendo Switch 2.

Grab your augments and stock up on ammo, you can now eliminate the Darkphage on consoles!

With crunchy pixel textures and satisfying gameplay reminiscent of classic 90’s FPS games, you will battle relentless enemies in a test of skill and power. Pick between some monstrous weapons and kick explosive barrels at your enemies to clear the hordes!

Tactical FPS Combat: Moros Protocol combines relentless action with adaptability and customization. Shape your loadout and let the augments and weapons you find dictate your fighting style. And yes, you can kick your enemies.

Roguelike Progression: Death is only the beginning. Learn, upgrade, and push further into the unknown. Each run is shaped by a combination of handcrafted environments and procedural generation. New layouts. New challenges to face. No two runs will feel the same.

Unique Custom Renderer: A gritty, immersive world that blends retro aesthetics with modern rendering, creating a decayed sci-fi atmosphere. Dynamic lighting and eerie sound design heighten the tension as you explore the abandoned warship.

A Year of Updates and Additions: This version of Moros Protocol will contain all the updates the PC version has had since launch, including new bosses, weapons and run modifiers.

Play Moros Protocol on console in its most up to date version with full parity to the current Steam release. This includes:

New Weapons! – Grab the crowbar from our collaboration with Black Mesa, as well as multiple new weapon additions.

Run Modifiers – Introduces a different challenge where you can buff or debuff your character based on your intended play-style.

New Bosses! – The Arachne, the Decaying Nychosaur, and the Sister of Carnage are all ready as bonus bosses to test your skills.
