Sushi On Wheels was inspired by the developer’s real-life experiences living in Japan and travelling throughout its picturesque Izu Peninsula.

“The idea for Sushi On Wheels came about while I was living in Japan with my partner and visiting her family,” says Neil O’Sullivan Greene, founder of Greene Rapture.

“During that time, we took a trip to the Izu Peninsula, and I was immediately struck by how much character the area had. Between the seaside towns, beaches, mountains and local communities, it felt like the perfect setting for a cozy game, yet it wasn’t a part of Japan I had really seen represented in games before.

I started imagining what a game set there could look like, and that eventually grew into Sushi On Wheels: a cozy management game about running a sushi food truck, travelling around the peninsula, meeting the people who live there and becoming part of the local community.”
