PARIS – Oct. 12, 2026 – Heidi’s Legacy: Mountains Calling, the cozy story-rich adventure inspired by the world-renowned Heidi I.P. from developer Humble Reeds, celebrates nature and self-discovery this December on PC via Steam, with Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 versions arriving in January 2027. A demo is also available now as part of the October Steam Next Fest.

Heidi stems from the best-selling children’s novel about the life of a five-year-old and her grandfather in the Swiss alps. The renowned book has sold more than 50 million copies and been adapted 25 times in film and television, including an iconic Japanese anime that became a global childhood staple. The series continues to drive a tourism industry to popular areas like Heidiland in Switzerland, named after the famous village.

In Heidi’s Legacy: Mountains Calling, trek through serene mountains as the iconic Heidi, now a young woman yearning for reprieve from bustling city life. Form lifelong bonds with Heidi’s grandfather, her childhood friend, and other villagers. Explore tranquil forests, sweeping valleys, and tranquil lakes while rebuilding a charming community atop alpine mountains.

Shepherd goats through blossoming meadows and care for their every need. Nurture them with the best flowers to graze on while bringing them joy with toys. At the end of the day, collect milk and wool as vital resources to aid in restoring the village. Craft and trade supplies along Heidi’s journey, including cheese, clothing, and herbal remedies.

Unlock new traversal abilities, making it easier to climb and leap to find new locales. Assist fellow villagers by completing quests, and explore branching dialogue options to deepen bonds. Help Heidi navigate mountain living in a soothing, watercolor rendition of an alpine environment.
