“Tekken 7” is still on track with its 2017 release date for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Windows, but there might be a few faces that will not return for the King of Iron Fist Tournament 7. Jun Kazama, mother of Jin Kazama, and lover of Kazuya Mishima might be left out of the final battle in the Mishima clan saga. Fans of the Tekken series took to Twitter to ask Katsuhiro Harada, producer and co-creator of “Tekken” about Jun’s inclusion in the new title.
Harada was very straight to the point, and explained that because there wasn’t much of a demand for Jun outside of “Tekken Tag Tournament 2“, she might not make it into the final roster of “Tekken 7”. With as many new faces, and return characters as we’ve seen for “Tekken 7”, it’s pretty safe to say Jun still has time to make her debut if it will happen. Despite the popular opinion of her returning to TT2, the cinematic scenes she was featured in were not canon, so she hasn’t officially returned to the series.
“Tekken 7” is slated for release a Western release during early 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PS4 .
