I´ve been thinking about writing this article for quite sometime now. Mainly because of two reasons. 1. The video that i made about “The Dutch wife” sex doll. And 2. Robots are becoming more and more advanced as time goes by.

I am of course referring to the robot prostitutes subject. A subject that quite a few newspapers been talking about lately (Dailymail UK for example).

Me, i knew years ago that it would become a reality sooner or later. It´s inevitable pretty much.

Looking for some fun are we now?

Because the human greed and pursuit for fortune and fame never dies. I had those thoughts for the very first time when i watched Armitage III, and Ghost in the Shell (back in the 90s).

And when i started to think about the fact that most things that´s fiction and fantasy today, actually end up becoming reality later on.

Like Cyberspace (internet) for example. William Gibson wrote about it in his book “Neuromancer” long before internet even existed. So i don´t find it very unlikely that we will have robot prostitutes by 2025 (which are the calculated year by scientist, economist and big company’s).

If you combine the most advanced robotics with the Japanese “Dutch Wife”. Then you probably get something like this.

Me, i think that it will happen much sooner than that. Because in just one year. Tons of technological advances can take place. And one should not forget that one single person can make a big discovery along the way as well (the so-called “eureka!” moment).

Which then could lead to a huge leap in that technology field. And there by accelerate the development for the product in question. And let´s say that the product in question would be a robot prostitute.

Then we might see robot prostitutes on the market way sooner than 2025.

And all of this raises a lot of ethnic and moral issues (and questions of course. For starter, will the sociaty even accept them? What will happen to the “real” prostitutes? And what will the feminist and the female population think about them?

Then again, there will probably be a male robot prostitute as well. Funny enough, this might actually give some positive effects upon society. I´m quite sure that rape crimes will go down a lot for example.

And sexual diseases will go down as well, same thing goes for the ever-growing problem with our overpopulated planet.

Childbirth´s would probably drop once a consumer product get´s release on the market (in the rich parts of the world that is). However, not so long ago i read an article about robots and childbirth.

And i wouldn’t be that much surprised to hear that scientists might be able to give that ability to advanced robots (the ability to give birth to human babies).

What “if” Googles A.i turns into a real life version of Shodan?

I know, it´s a creepy thought. But it can be done with the help of technology. But just like the part with the robot prostitutes, this would also cause a lot of ethnic and moral issues. Personally, i don´t want to stand in the way of technology.

And i do like some of the aspects of transhumanism (humanity 2.0). But still, i´m not that keen about the thought of having human like robots in our society. Especially not the kind that can give birth to babies.

Then we got another future problem that goes hand in hand with the development of more advanced robots.

And that would be all the jobs that the robots would take over from it´s human counterparts. And some of those professions would include the following:

– Police (think Robocop)
– Cleaners (there is already cleaner robots in several parts of the world)
– Astronauts (NASA are most likely working on a Astronaut robot prototype)
– Factory workers (most factory’s already have advance robots)
– Teachers (Robot teachers exist in both Japan and Hong Kong)
– Prostitutes (like i mentioned earlier)

And this made me think about the scenario in Armitage III (i think it´s the first movie). Where the humans has lost their jobs to the robots. So there´s riots all over the place (on March in this case). And that´s not a unlikely outcome.

Because if you have no job, you have no income. And no income equals no future whatsoever.

Don´t worry human. You won´t feel a thing. I promise.

But i´m way more worried about the Terminator scenario. Where the machines have become so smart that they try to extreminte us all. And if you didn´t know it. Google is working on the most advanced A.i system in the world at the moment (Deus Ex and System Shock anyone?).

Let´s just play with the thought for a moment. That Google´s A.i system becomes so smart, that it decides that “it” has no need for humans. And that the human race are nothing more than cancer to this planet (which we are).

And that “it” would be the cure to that disease (the human race). That´s the part that scares me the most. We might actually be forced to leave this planet for March, sooner than planned. If that becomes the case that is.
