I have had the great pleasure (*sarcasm*, read “misfortune”) to spot quite a few anti-Gamer and pure garbage articles over the years. Even so, I can´t say that I remember the last time that I saw a “Gamer” related post by Jezebel (“Online magazine focused on celebrities, sex, feminism, and issues relating to women’s empowerment”). Nevertheless, all of that changed when I found out about Jezebel´s “Why Isn’t it Called No Woman’s Sky?” post (which I did this morning). And naturally, my first thought was “It´s a pure rage bait article, nothing more, nothing less”. However, we have now reached the point in time when you can no longer tell the difference between a parody post, a legit post or a rage bait post. And that says quite a lot about the current state of the so called “video game journalism” market.

Rage bait much Bobby?

I mean, just look at the nonsense that Jezebel´s Bobby Finger wrote about “No Man´s Sky” (“anti-feminist”? Seriously?):

“For those of you who have spent the past week wondering why Jezebel has not yet published a review of the long-awaited PC/console game No Man’s Sky, allow us to explain ourselves: we find the name of this “first person space travel” game to be distasteful, offensive, and shamelessly anti-feminist. Jezebel will not be reviewing—or even playing—No Man’s Sky. In a game that claims to take place inside “an infinite procedurally generated galaxy,” there should be more than enough room for equality. For an in-depth review, please visit our sister site.” – Bobby Finger, staff writer for Jezebel

why isnt it called no womans sky jezebel

I think the simplest answer to that question would be “because it´s not”?

mark kern vs jezebel

You know, even if Hello Games had named NMS to “No human´s sky” instead. I still bet that the name wouldn´t have been “inclusive” and “feminist” enough for Jezebel.

And right off the bat, I´m fed-up with sites such as Jezebel and Kotaku who inject SJW, feminist, liberal and PC agenda (that goes for certain publishers, developers and Western localizers as well) into everything which they come in touch with (especially when it comes to Gaming-related matters). And I think it´s safe to say that most Gamers don´t want anything of this in their game reviews, articles, games or news reporting. As the most of us (Gamers) just want to enjoy the world of games without any of that nonsense. And that´s also why I would recommend you to read our review of “No Man´s Sky” instead, because unlike sites such as Kotaku and Polygon. We only publish unbiased reviews on our site (no violence, nudity, sexiness or political incorrect content in the whole world would ever result in having us giving a game a lower score. We just take the game in question for what it is).

And with that said, what´s your take on this matter? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
