I (Robin Ek, TGG) was just contacted by Nintendo Sweden (Bergsala AB) and they informed me about the “Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” expansion pass. So here´s the info that I was given:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch for Nintendo and the Wii U is one of the biggest games that Nintendo ever created. It is a game that will keep players around the world involved in many, many hours. There will also be the first The Legend of Zelda games that will be downloadable extras.

Already on March 3 when the game is released, you will be able to purchase the Expansion Pass which gives you access to two downloadable packages to be released later this year. After purchasing Expansion Pass will pop up three new coffins at The Great Plateau in the game. One of the coffins containing a shirt with Nintendo Switch logo that Link can wear in the game if you want. The other two chests containing useful items.

The first downloadable pack released in the summer and includes a Cave of Trials Challenge, a new difficulty level of the game as well as a new feature of the map in spelet.Det other downloadable pack released closer to Christmas and new challenges where players will get a new, underground path and a new action in the game. Expansion Pass will be available for both Nintendo Switch and the Wii U version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The content will also be the same regardless of version.

“It Hyrule we created in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is so large and vivid that we wanted to offer players even more experience in it,” says Nintendo developer Eiji Aonuma, who has worked as a producer for The Legend of Zelda game series very long. “With this new expansion Pass, we hope that the players will be able to play, explore and be entertained by this game even more.”
