Marvel vs. Capcom is really pushing the throttle on releasing content so fans can get a very thorough look at what it has to offer. Although the game still has about five months to go, we can still thank Neo Gaf for giving us a great look into what the HUD, and the cinematic sequences will look like.

In the gameplay we can see Ultron, Thor, Strider, Hawkeye, Chun-li, Chris Redfield, and Hulk smashing things up, and issuing serious ass whopping’s. I can honestly say so far, the game looks a hell of a lot better than 2013’s Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The only issue I can foresee people will have with the game is the use of the Infinity stones, and having the competition abuse them or rely on them online.

As trivial as those things sound what will decide the games final fate will come down to three things:
– Game mechanics
– Fighting frame rate
– Roster of characters

When you think about it, those are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what people need a fighting game to do. Virtua Fighter is still behind Tekken by two games, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be coming back. While Sega did renew its license for the game, it’s fanbase could be gone. The same can be said about Dead or Alive, look at what happened to its popularity with almost three installments to keep Dead or Alive round 4 around on consoles.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite has the chance to do something very good, revive classical games for the new generation with better graphics. If Marvel doesn’t get greedy like it did with the last title, we’ll see fun gameplay–most likely the same roster but expanded, and a new story to keep us happy till possibly a 5th game. Check out the trailer and share your thoughts!
