Press release:
[NOVEMBER 4, 2026] In Outcity, every new neighbor is another pair of hands on the farm. The cozy farming sandbox from Brazilian studio Titan Games launches on Steam on December 10, 2026, published by indie.io, and brings its standout system to the full game: NPC automation. Players start with a stretch of overgrown countryside and a few tools. They then hand those tools to villagers, who take over the work, from planting and harvesting by day to fending off raids by night.
Farming games have long built progress on the player’s own two hands. Outcity builds on that foundation by turning its community into a workforce that grows, improves, and fights alongside the player. Outcity delivers the comforts farming fans come for. Players clear and shape the land, plant and harvest crops, lay out irrigation, and decorate the homestead down to the smallest detail. Beyond the farm, each biome holds its own resources, and new regions open up as the settlement grows. Procedurally generated caves hide rare finds for players willing to dig, and the lakes reward patient anglers with rare fish. As the land expands, villagers settle nearby, and players build homes for them and get to know them.
A Village That Runs the Farm
The tool a villager carries determines their job, so every hand-off shapes how the settlement runs. Villagers gain experience as they work. More than 140 upgrades across farming, fishing, construction, automation, and combat let players push the whole operation further, where each villager’s home matters too. They work best close to home, so placing a new house is also a decision about how the farm operates. The result is a homestead that keeps growing past what one farmer could manage alone.
When Night Falls, the Village Fights
In many farming games, combat happens away from home on a solo trip underground. Outcity brings it to the farm. After dark, skeletons wander in looking to cause trouble, and the villagers players have equipped turn out to chase them off. The raids stay light and playful, keeping the cozy pace intact, but they give the workforce one more job. The neighbors who spent the day in the fields help protect them at night, and by morning everyone is back at work.
