It’s been about six months since I wrote my article about Naps Team’s WWII flight arcade game “Iron Wings” (for Windows, PS4 and Xbox One). Well, a lot of things have happened since December last year. For starter, Naps Team just informed me (Robin Ek, TGG) that “Iron Wings” is set for a Steam release by the end of May (yay!):
“And here we are ! nothing can stop us, the time has come , IRON WINGS will take a flight! IRON WINGS isn’t just a new generation WWII flight game, it follows the path of Jack (an Afro-american guy) and Amelia (a white woman) who become pilots in the ‘40s into a special squadron called Iron Wings. The story and characters in the game are fictional , although based on true events. Arcade controls or Simulation controls it’s up to player ! We developed and advanced brand new realtime cutscene events, but of course it could be disabled to play the game the good old fashion way .” – Naps Team

In “Iron Wings” you (the player) take on the role as Jack and Amelia (two pilots), and it´s your job to try to take down the Nazi aerial menace (which you will get a chance to do through an action intense campaign full of different missions).
That’s just the half of it though, because Naps Team also informed me that they have released the following videos for “Iron Wings” as well (you will also find the latest trailer for the game down below):
