NGDC 2017 and Unite India to Welcome Over 3000 Delegates, International and Regional Speakers from November 8th-11th.

Press release:
New Delhi, India – July 5th, 2017 – NASSCOM Gaming Forum today announced that India’s biggest video games development conference NASSCOM Game Developer Conference 2017 has partnered with Unity Technologies, to bring their development conference Unite to India for the first time. NGDC 2017 and Unite India will run concurrently from November 8th – 10th, with training workshops taking place on November 11th.

“We are really happy to announce the dates for NGDC 2017 and our partnership with Unity to bring their development conference Unite to India, to run concurrently with NGDC,” said Rajesh Rao, Chairman of the NASSCOM Gaming Forum. “With 3000 delegates expected to attend this year, having NGDC and Unite running in the same venue over 5 days will be of incredible value to the developer ecosystem. With a line-up of veteran speakers that will be announced soon, NGDC 2017 is the region’s go to games conference for both regional developers and international visitors”.

“We are proud to partner with NASSCOM Game Developer Conference to bring our popular Unite conference to India for the first time, said Quentin Staes-Polet, Director South Asian/ANZ, Unity Technologies. “Unite has a worldwide presence and each year it grows because it provides the perfect listening platform to help us solve hard problems for creators. This year we are focusing on developments in our game engine, including the new tools that will increase collaboration between artists and programmers. We chose Hyderabad because of its vibrant entrepreneurial culture and we feel that it’s an amazing place to bring together developers to collaborate and to learn from each other; a key part of what makes our community stronger.”

NGDC 2017 will feature international and domestic speakers, dedicated tracks focused on games design, publishing/advertising, game art and technology, production and serious games. The speaking agenda will be curated by the NGDC content team and an International Advisory Council featuring games industry veterans Carl Cavers (Sumo), Mark Skaggs, (MoonFrog), Rami Ismail (Vlambeer) and Sho Sato (Media Create).

Previous NGDC conferences hosted eminent speakers like Hidetaka “SWERY” Suehiro (Deadly Premonition), John Watson (Stoic), Yasuhiro Fukushima (Emeritus Chairman of Square Enix), Ernest Adams (author of the seminal book On Game Design), Glen Schofield (Call of Duty), Ed Fries, Trip Hawkins, Henry LaBounta and Ste Curran. Those interested in becoming a speaker at the NGDC 2017 have until July 31st, to submit their submission here: http://bit.ly/2rTNGoq

With an Games Expo floor featuring Indian games, several international country pavilions and a virtual reality pavilion, NGDC 2017 is shaping up to be the biggest showcase of Indian games development and business talent, and the ‘go to’ event for international participants looking at opportunities in the India marketplace. The NGDC 2017 awards will also recognise achievements in Indian games development and encourage the creation of original innovative IP in India. Curated networking events include Investor, Publisher and Gamesbond pitch sessions that will give Indian games developers the opportunity to meet with investors, publishers and business executives.

Unite India will be the most important gathering of regional artists, developers, publishers, training providers and enthusiasts interested in Unity —the market leading platform for creating video games, simulations and other interactive and VR/AR content.
