Today is a very good day for those who are fans of “Shantae” and “Blaster Master Zero“, and why is that? It’s because Matt Bozon (the creator of the Shantae series) just let the world know that WayForward’s beloved half-genie “Shantae” is coming to Inti Creates “Blaster Master Zero” as a playable character on the 6th of July! (for Nintendo Switch and 3DS via the Nintendo eShop)

Yep, Shantae is coming to “Blaster Master Zero” by tomorrow!

That’s just the half of it though, because Shovel Knight is coming to “Blaster Master Zero” as well (on the third of August):

“The next round of new content for Blaster Master Zero is here, and with it come two indie game legends who are ready to venture into the mutant-filled subterranean depths!

Play through the entire game as new EX Characters Shantae and Shovel Knight, each featuring their own unique abilities straight from their original titles. It’s an indie megamix in the world of Blaster Master Zero! Just like Gunvolt and Ekoro before them, these new characters will be available as a free download for the first two weeks after their release before turning into $1.99 paid DLC.
