There´s absolutly no doubt (whatsoever) that Twitch TV is the nr 1 streaming service when it comes to games. But do to the fact that it´s a huge market (streaming services).
There´s a lot of hungry devs and entrepreneurs out there, that wants a piece of the pie. And it seems like the minds behind “Forge” are really hungry indeed. And even though Forge is just at an early access stage at this time
Forge is till a really impressive streaming service. And Gamers are already streaming games such as “League of Legends“, “Diablo 3”, “Borderlands 2”, “World of Warcraft”, “ArcheAge” and “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare”.
And this is how Forge describes their service: “Better PC gaming—for everyone We built Forge to make PC gaming better for everyone—including us!”
So there you have it. That´s the whole thought behind Forge. But i have to try it myself before i can say anything more on that matter (if that statement is true or not).
But you could always try the early access of Forge, and judge for yourselves. If you do so, don´t forget to have fun 😉
About Forge:
1. Let gamers tell their story easily & enjoyably. We want all of our users to be able show who they are and what they can do as gamers. Our primary focus will always be to build features that make this as easy & enjoyable as possible.
2. Delight gamers with a great product experience. We want every interaction you have with Forge to be awesome, not just visually, but functionally. Making every part of Forge as simple and lightweight as possible is our top priority, so you can play without it getting in the way.
3. Give back to PC gamers. Everyone at Forge is a PC gamer at heart. We love hardcore gaming and open platforms. We hope Forge contributes meaningfully to this community and helps it continue to thrive.
4. Make gaming more connected. Playing with friends and meeting new people are some of the most enjoyable and memorable aspects of gaming. We want Forge to make friendships between gamers happen more easily and more often.
5. Focus on creating value — not ad space. Nobody likes ads, especially when they’re shown next to your own content or your friends’. We’re committed to building a platform where users’ stories come first — not those of advertisers or game companies.
6. Always be free. As a business, we will eventually need to generate revenue to cover our costs, and honestly, we’re not 100% sure how we’re going to do that yet. That said, our core service will always be free for anyone to use.
