Good old Major Nelson was not late to announce the news about Seagate´s Game Drive for Xbox One and 360 earlier today. So what is the Game Drive then? It´s an external 2TB hard drive that´s designed exclusively for 360 and Xbox One. And it´s really small too (the Game Drive doesn’t even need a separate power cord in-order to work, and it has plug-and-play functionality as well). In fact, it will fit into your pocket with no sweat. And you don´t have to worry about any compatibility problems either, since your Xbox (360 and Xbox One) will detect your Game Drive on boot-up (you will be ready to rock in just a couple of minutes).

Seagate´s Game Drive retail price is set to $109.99 USD and will be available at GameStop, Amazon and other consumer electronic retailers worldwide.
So what does Seagate´s Game Drive cost then? About $110 via Gamestop and Amazon. And from what I’ve been told, the Game Drive should be available right now (only in America for now). This is great news for the 360 and Xbox One owners, since the Game Drive will give them much-needed extra storage space. Speaking of which, this is what Jeff Fochtman (director of product marketing for Seagate) had to say about the Game Drive:
“This exciting new collaboration with Microsoft Xbox is an important milestone for Seagate that will help us to reach a new audience, which has an insatiable appetite for storage,” said Jeff Fochtman, senior director of product marketing for Seagate. “There was a clearly defined need in this market for additional plug-and-play storage and Seagate is happy to be able to provide the solution.”
So, are you guys/girls excited for Seagates Game Drive? And will you buy one yourself?
