As we said already, the point of CS:GO is simple. Two teams with 5 players in each fight each other on several different maps. The shortest match lasts during 16 rounds: per 8 for each team to play as terrorists and counter-terrorists.
There are various competition formats, but the most widespread playoff match formula is “best of 3” (till 2 victories), and a tournament grand final game is best of 5 (till 3 victories).

Let’s review our hypothetical match between Na’Vi and Mythic. There are betting portals that allow placing the bet on a round difference: which will be the advantage of the winning team in rounds, or how many rounds the crew will give to their opponents. Here are the odds: Na’Vi (-8.5 rounds, 1.67), Mythic (+8.5 rounds, 1.95).
The bet on Na’Vi will play if they win the match with the difference at 9 and more rounds. For instance, 16:6. If you bet on Mythic, then you get incomes in case they lose with no more than 9 rounds of difference (for example, 16:10).
Another CS:GO betting kind is the attempt to guess the number of rounds played. Most frequently, the starting point is 25.5 or 26.5. For instance, if Mythic wins with the 16:8 score, the overall number of rounds is 24, so those who chose “Less” win. If Na’Vi wins with the result of 16:14, there are 30 rounds played: those who chose “More” get incomes.
Another popular bet is the pistol round winner bet. Pistol rounds are: the 1st and the 16th round of each match, when teams switch sides. They own only pistols and a few grenades. Such rounds are important, as they determine the teams’ economy status for at least 2 following rounds.
Additionally, it is possible to bet on pro players, their results during the particular match or the tournament in general. For instance, try betting on a professional who you think will take the most kills in a game, or the one to become a tournament’s MVP (most valuable player).
