Realms Deep 2023, the annual digital showcase organized by 3D Realms and its proud partners, wrapped up the yearly celebration on Saturday, September 30, 2023, after a presentation full of brand new reveals, highly-anticipated updates, exclusive first looks, and developer interviews.

Alongside an event full of exciting game news, 3D Realms rebooted and revealed its new company slogan – “Redefining AAA: Action – Attitude – Adrenaline,” including a new logo and website. As 3D Realms looks ahead to its 30th anniversary in 2024, the fabled publisher behind some of the most iconic action titles such as Duke Nukem, Max Payne, Terminal Velocity, and Death Rally, is committed to delivering on these pillars across its gaming lineup.

3D Realms kicked this year’s event into high gear with today’s surprise launch of Ion Fury: Aftershock, the expansion pack for the acclaimed old-school first-person shooter Ion Fury from developer Voidpoint. Shelly Harrison makes a triumphant return, embarking on a new mission through NEO DC to knock some heads and take down the villainous Dr. Hesksel once and for all. Load up the artillery and raise hell until every last cultist crumbles.

What’s better than a surprise shadow drop? Three of ‘em. Phantom Fury, a road movie-inspired first-person shooter starring Ion Fury’s Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison from developer Slipgate Ironworks, received a high-octane demo showcasing new gameplay, now available on Steam. CULTIC, the horror-inspired cult FPS from developer Jasozz Games, returns with Interlude, a brand new story map to set the tone for Chapter Two. Rain bullets down on an army of frenzied zealots in this new small taste of what’s to come.

The showcase also brought updates to several other projects under 3D Realms’ portfolio. Kingpin: Reloaded, the enhanced remaster of the infamous FPS, dishes out revenge on PC Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Quake engine-powered FPS WRATH: Aeon of Ruin blasts bloodthirsty fiends on Steam with version 1.0 on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

The long-awaited dark-fantasy shooter GRAVEN exits Steam Early Access for its 1.0 launch on PC Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Console versions of WRATH and GRAVEN will launch later in 2024.

Fans were also treated to updates and new looks at numerous other titles, including classic RTS-inspired Tempest Rising and the collaboration with the renowned Command & Conquer franchise composer Frank Klepacki, as well as brand-new trailers for immersive sim Core Decay and dieselpunk action-rpg Combustion, among others.

The announcements didn’t end there! 3D Realms is partnering with developer Thomas Brush and Atmos Games to publish the macabre action-adventure shooter, Twisted Tower. For fans of Retro Ronin Action, Bloodless, the stylish retro-inspired action adventure game is also joining the roster.

For fans of tearing apart mutant monstrosities, Realms Deep also announced that co-op horror FPS RIPOUT will launch into PC Early Access on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, just in time for Halloween! Fans of a different kind of horror can pick up The Kindeman Remedy, the spiritual successor to the smash hit Ravenous Devils, when it launches on PC Thursday, November 16, 2023.
