Press release:
Isle of Man, 18th February, 2021.
Skrmiish are today very happy and proud to announce that their app-driven competitive gaming platform has become a global success, and the same can also be said about Skrmiish’s very first Challenger Series event (which also became a huge success).

Skrmiish  has wrapped up five action packed nights in the first ever Skrmiish Challenger Series (SCS).  10 featured Fortnite streamers from around the world including Reddysh, Vohlii, Cozy, Tyla, and Higgsy participated by challenging their communities to battle it out on daily leaderboards with the Top 10 winners taking a share of a daily $1000 prize pool.

Over the five days, there were 1000s of unique live Skrmiish matches from users in 26 countries including the US, UK, Canada, South Africa, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden. 8000+ minutes of stream time was broadcast over the five day event with viewers seeing 1 000 000+ minutes of Skrmiish viewer challenges as well as streamer v streamer battles. This brought a wave of new users to the app with over 50% of users playing more than seven games, smashing initial expectations.

“Launching a new technology product in the United States and Europe is no small feat, which is why I am immensely proud of what we have been able to achieve. With our growing player base we will be able to focus our efforts on bringing in new product features that offer all sorts of improved opportunities for streamers and players of all skill levels. Right now, we’re gearing up to announce something truly massive and can’t wait to share it with the world,” says Skrmiish CEO, Luke Grob.

More exciting Skrmiish events and activities are in the pipeline all focusing on bringing streamers, fans, players and communities together. Visit skrmiish.gg for up to date information.

About Skrmiish:

Made by gamers for gamers.

Skrmiish is a pioneering app-driven gaming platform that allows streamers, PC gamers, teams, and brands to create and monetise their own competitive gaming experience anytime, anywhere.

Skrmiish is currently in beta with new functionality planned for release in the near future.

The app also houses live leaderboards where users can challenge their friends or, through the app’s auto-matchmaking functionality, play against someone random but of similar standing on the leaderboard. Leaderboard Points (LP), the app’s in-house points system acts as a wagering tool between gamers to climb the ranks in.

Founded by Chris Heaton and Roland Reed, Skrmiish have a mission to elevate the competitive gaming experience, for streamers and gamers of all skill levels.

For gamers, Skrmiish offers a true professional vs amateur (ProAM) gaming experience. Until now, gamers were left to watch their streaming heroes play with little opportunity to engage directly with them. Finally, with Skrmiish, gamers can play against their favourite streamers in 1v1 Kill Races.

For streamers, Skrmiish creates the opportunity to drive increased viewer engagement, growing a streamer’s community while improving the competitive edge of their content in a safe, fun and fair manner. Upcoming features include a subscription model aimed to help streamers of all sizes effectively monetise their communities.

To experience a new way to play, visit skrmiish.gg to download the desktop client and register. Once complete, download the beta version of the app for free on the App Store or Google Play Store. Then simply login to the app with your registration credentials and get ready for your first Skrmiish.
