I (Robin Ek, TGG) just woke up to the great news that the Swedish pre-launch event for the Nintendo Switch console has become a huge success before the event has even started. You see, the waiting line over at Bergsala AB (Nintendo Sweden) are already miles long. Well, okay, not literally, but you pretty much can´t even see where the waiting line ends (as seen in the picture down below).
And as you might remember, not so long ago we wrote about the Swedish retailer Webhallen, who stated that their Switch pre-orders have surpassed their PS4 launch date sales (there are now other Swedish retailers who state that there is a crazy high demand for the Switch console). Well, my point would be this, if you combine Webhallen´s Switch pre-orders with Bergsala´s already popular Switch pre-launch event, then you get a pretty good idea of how red-hot the Switch console is in Sweden right now (yes, I was indeed invited to the event, but sadly enough I couldn´t go there). So I wouldn´t be surprised if the Switch turns out to be just as successful as the Wii console became in Sweden over time.
We just have to wait and see I guess. I´m still pretty envy of those who get to play the following games at the Switch pre-launch event over at Bergsala today though:
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
1-2-Switch
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
ARMS
Splatoon 2
Snipperclips
Just Dance (tredjepart)
Super Bomberman R (tredjepart)
Has Been Heroes (tredjepart)
