Newly established video games publisher ESDigital Games and indie developer Epic Llama invite gamers to try out their pixel art point & click adventure “Unusual Findings” on the Nintendo Switch directly at the business area of Gamescom 2022, located at Hall 3.2, stand A-031!

ESDigital Games will also present for the first time the first-person survival shooter Absylon 7 as well as the post-apocalyptic twin-stick shooter Remedium. You can book your appointments now.

Unusual Findings is a classic point-and-click adventure game set in the 80s in a world full of synthwave, 8-tracks, arcades and many other references to cinematic classics of the era where players will have to explore, investigate and work to stop an alien invasion and save the world. The game will be released on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One very soon. You can check its trailer below.

ABOUT THE GAME
It’s the 80s and Christmas is coming. Vinny, Nick and Tony are young and their new cable signal descrambler just arrived. While trying to decrypt a pay per view adult channel, they pick up the distress signal of an alien spaceship crash-landing in the woods near their town. Things only get weirder as they realise that the towering alien is killing specific members of their community!

Immerse yourself into a world that pays homage to 80s classics such as The Goonies, Monster Squad, Terminator, Aliens and The Lost Boys amongst many others, and gameplay that combines the mechanics of a classic point and click adventure such as “Full throttle”, but with it’s own unique twist and much more. A world that is designed to ooze nostalgia from every pore, check the Video Buster Store out for clues, challenge other kids at the Laser Llamas Arcades, learn a new trick at the Emerald Sword comic store, try to get along with the Lost Boys with their punk aesthetic in their hideout, or perhaps even dare to ask The Bull -the quintessential 80s action hero- for some help!

Each decision you take directly affects the relationship between the three friends as well as affecting the entire story, changing the way they solve each puzzle, how they visit each location, the answers that they find along the way, and much more. Uncover the hidden truth behind the alien invasion… well sort of. Why choose Earth? Why kill the locals? How can the three boys stop the invasion? Will they tune into the adult channel after all? The answers to these and many other questions can be found… in Unusual Findings.

KEY FEATURES:

Epic Llama is a small indie game developer based in Argentina. The team has been making games for over ten years with exceptional love for their work and the games industry itself. In 2017 they released their first big point-and-click adventure “Darkestville Castle” on Steam, iOS & Android and later – on modern consoles in 2020. Now they’re working on their most ambitious game up to date- Unusual Findings. The game was nominated for the Best Game: Latin America award at BIG Festival 2022.
