The 11th edition of Pixel Heaven Festival has come to an end. Over 10,500 people visited the Creative Industries Development Center. Apart from gaming affirmation and sharing mutual passion with other enthusiasts, participants also learned about the Intel Pixel Awards Europe 2023 winners.
Festival was also visited by numerous guests. Attendees had the opportunity to listen to lectures by such people as Mike Dailly – the developer of Lemmings, Robert Jaeger, the creator of the iconic game Montezuma’s Revenge, or Simon Butler, the developer of game Pedro, published by Imagine Software. In addition, participants could also visit exhibitors’ booths and try their hand at playing games released for the first computers or consoles.
Intel Pixel Awards Europe is the most recognised award for indie games made by European developers. Among the winners are:
Big Fish Grand Prix – Blacktail, The Parasight / Focus Entertainment
Indie Grand Prix – Roadwarden, Moral Anxiety Studio
Best Gameplay – Shardpunk: Verminfall, Clockwork Pile
Best Art – Layers of Fear, Bloober Team
Best Audio – Unknown Number: A First Person Talker, Godolphin Games
Best Story – Blacktail, The Parasight / Focus Entertainment
Retro Roots – Roadwarden, Moral Anxiety Studio
Big Bang! – First Dwarf, Star Drifters
Warsaw Excellence – First Dwarf, Star Drifters
