Evolve is quickly becoming one of PC gaming’s most anticipated games of 2015 and It’s earned the hype! Setting aside the fact that it will be one of the most graphically powerful, and memory requiring games it’s still fun.
With players will be receiving Evolve’s Xbox One open beta, which is due to run across January 15-19. Players on PS4 can also test the game out starting January 17, as long as they have a Big Alpha invite and PS Plus subscription.
The beta will offer two monster types and eight hunter characters across 12 maps, but those willing to pre-purchase Evolve on their consoles (once the option to do so is available).
Will be able to deploy hunters Abe, Parnell, Caira and Cabot as well as the Wraith monster during the beta, 2K Games recently announced.
The four extra hunters and the Wraith will remain unlocked from the get-go in the launch version of Evolve, giving those that pre-purchase, a decent head start with earning access to the game’s roster.
There’s still future DLC additions to factor in of course, but if you decide the disc’s cast is sizeable enough, you’ll still be able to play matches with players who invest in the DLC roster.
To be clear the only way to receive the extra characters at launch is to pre-order the game through the Xbox One marketplace. Retail pre-orders wont have this option for you.
