I’m quite sure that most of you have already heard the news about Paradox Interactive’s decision to acquire “Prison Architect” from Introversion Software?
Well, what you might not know is that “Prison Architect” will no longer be available for download via Introversion’s homepage after August 13th this Summer. That’s right, because that’s what Introversion Software told us just now:
“Dear Players,
As you may have heard, Introversion has passed Prison Architect over to Paradox Interactive and Double Eleven so they can develop exciting new content for the game. As part of this transition, beginning on August 13th, 2019, Prison Architect will no longer be available for download through www.introversion.co.uk
What this means for you:
From now until August 13th, 2019, you can still download the December 2018 version of Prison Architect. This version has not been updated with the latest free content by Paradox and will not be able to receive updates going forward. It is also not multiplayer compatible with the latest version of Prison Architect. However, you can continue to play your downloaded version after August 13th.
You can access the future updates by activating the Steam key you received when you purchased Prison Architect from introversion.co.uk. To locate your Steam key, please follow these instructions:
Search your email for your order from SendOwl. It will contain a link where you can access your downloads and product keys (including Steam key).
If you can’t find that email any more, you can get SendOwl to resend the email by visiting the following link: https://www.sendowl.com/order_recoveries/new?merchant_id=1228. Enter your email address and SendOwl will resend the product order emails.
Please note this message only applies to customers who bought Prison Architect directly from Introversion. GoG, EA, Steam and Humble customers are not concerned.
If you have any questions/concerns, please visit: https://support.paradoxplaza.com/hc/en-us
Thank you for your continued support!” – Introversion Software
In other words, you will have to buy and download “Prison Architect” from other websites after August 13th. That shouldn’t be a problem though, since the game is available via sites such as GOG, Steam and many other digital stores.
Anyways, I just wanted to inform you guys and girls about this as this information could be something that could help you out if you’re a “Prison Architect” player.
