If I told you that there indeed exists a game that looks and feels like a mix of “Dwarf Fortress”, “X-COM” and “Spacebase DF-9”, would you then believe me? Well you better, as Zenanon´s deep-sea building simulator and managing game “Sunken” (for Windows, MAC and Linux) is very much a real game (as it´s in development as we speak). Well, personally I can at least relate to X-COM and Dwarf Fortress (I´m not all that familiar with Spacebase DF-9). Anyhow, in “Sunken” you get the pleasure to manage, build and expand your deep-sea research laboratory. Something of which that´s easier said than done, since the environment around you is a rather hostile one. And there´s very little room for mistakes and errors as well, as one single wrong move could result in a sudden death for your whole colony (as seen in the picture down below for example).
So one must keep a close eye on things in “Sunken” in-order to avoid any deadly accidents. The death part is of course far from everything that the game has to offer, as you get the chance to explore your environment, research and build tons of different stuff in your laboratory. Sadly enough though, there is no playable demo (nor a release date) for “Sunken” just yet (at least not to my knowledge). However, there is indeed a gameplay video for the game. So please enjoy it =)
