I don´t know about you guys and girls, but it´s been something of an ongoing Christmas tradition for me to play some Christmas-like games during this time of the year (new as old one´s). In the matter of facts, I´ve been playing “Christmas Lemmings” and “Jazz Jackrabbit Holiday Hare” every single Christmas since the 90s (yes, I do watch “Die Hard” and the “Home Alone” movies every year as well). Any ways, this year I might actually get a chance to play a new Christmas inspired game for once (most of the previous X-Mas games that I have played are pretty old). You see, just the other day I (Robin Ek) was contacted by Giant Goblin Studio, and they presented to me a crazy Christmas 2D arcade shoot ’em up called “The Night Christmas Ended“:
“Get into the Christmas spirit with the world’s biggest goblin in a blast from the past, 2D arcade shoot ’em up. Fight evil pet pine trees from Siberia. Air-battle on a deadly pooping Rudolf. Float around in space and much much more crazy stuff.
– Play through the whole adventure local with a friend
– Unique weapons and power-ups (like shots that grow and shrink)
– The Giant Goblin will comment on if he thinks you control him well or badly.
– Shoot an innocent bird just because you are a jerk
– Don’t forget the deadly pooping reindeer
The Night Christmas Ended is part of a great 2D arcade shoot ’em up tradition that goes back to the 80’s. With respect for the traditions, the game adds new twists and turns to the familiar formula. The Night Christmas Ended aims to please veteran gamers of the genre, at the same time it also welcomes new gamers by making it easy to pick up and play.
So team up with the world’s biggest goblin on his quest for gold and be a total Christmas bastard.” – John , Giant Goblin Studio

“The night Christmas ended” is like a mix of Gremlins, Nightmare Before Christmas and old-school arcade shoot-em-up games.
Well, that sounds pretty cool right? (at least I thought so). Nevertheless, if you´re still not quite sure if “The Night Christmas Ended” is your cup of tea or not. Then you can watch a trailer for the game down below. However, if you do indeed like what you see in the trailer, then you can buy the game for 4,99 Euros via Steam.
