Developer/Publisher Top Hat Studios have recently released “An Adventurer’s Tale” in collaboration with Epic Works, a Ghana-based VN studio (you can download the game’s 18+ DLC patch for free via Steam).

An “Adventurer’s Tale” is an open world visual novel & RPG hybrid, inspired by Dungeons & Dragons and popular RPGs.It features an open world, 130k+ words of content, and an estimate 10-15+ hours of gameplay, infinite free play mode, and lots of secrets for reply ability.

The story follows our hero Garth as he wanders along the countryside seeking fame, glory, and his next misadventure.

In total, you get about 10-15 hours of gameplay in “An Adventurer’s Tale”. Other than that, there is also replayable content to be had.

He finds himself amid various escapades, some as mild and comedic as fleeing the City Guard after a wild night with the Lord’s Daughter, and some as serious as bouts with monstrous, lurking horrors.

Then, in the small, outlying region of Garasia, he finds something that finally could satisfy his thirst for adventure, recognition, and beautiful women: A Lich King!

The game’s JRPG-style battle system and dialogs look quite fun in my opinion.

Along the way he meets a colorful cast of characters, all while exploring the region and discovering lots of secrets alongside the way.
