And really, everybody is playing it these days.

Your neighbors are playing it. Urban planners are playing it. That suspiciously large corporation buying every property on your street is probably playing it too.

In Car Park Capital, you’ve been hired by Big Auto to bring the Freedom of Car Dependency to towns that, through some unfortunate historical oversight, still contain homes, trees, pedestrians, and public transportation.

Buy land. Evict tenants. Demolish neighborhoods. Build magnificent seas of asphalt. Sell people cars, then charge them to park those cars. Drill for oil to fuel those cars. And when citizens begin wondering whether there might perhaps be another way to organize society, remind them how happy they are with some carefully positioned pro-car propaganda.

It’s not exploitation.

It’s mobility.

Behind the satire, Car Park Capital is a real-time strategy and management simulation where hundreds of citizens and vehicles interact across interconnected systems of traffic, production, needs, public opinion, and profitability.

Buy land, demolish buildings, and turn valuable urban space into beautiful expanses of asphalt. Build flat or use 3D construction tools to take your parking ambitions into the sky.

Bought an apartment block that’s inconveniently full of people? Evict the tenants and build suburban neighborhoods with big driveways, zero walkability, and preferably very little public transport.

🚗 Manufacture demand for cars
Sell cars, create parking demand, level up, and unlock new buildings and services. Big Box Stores and Diners attract even more cars, which need even more parking. The system works.

🛢️ Drill, refine, sell, repeat
Cars need fuel. Drill for oil, transport it to refineries, supply your gas stations, and keep the automotive economy moving.

The Car Park Capital Original Soundtrack will also be available soon, composed by Kent Kercher, whose previous work includes projects such as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Justice League, Watchmen, and The Grinch.

MicroProse, founded in 1982, is a world-famous simulation software company known for developing groundbreaking, classics and cult titles like, the Falcon, F15 Strike Eagle, Silent Service, Gunship, Grand Prix, Civilization, B-17 The Mighty Eighth, and X-COM series and many more simulation products that sold millions of copies each at retail.

Today, MicroProse is not only remaking select classics from its past but also paving the road to next-generation, state of the art games that will create the memories and experiences of the demanding new generations of gamers.

My name is Hilko Janssen. I’m the independent game developer behind Hilkojj Interactive, based in the Netherlands. I developed my own Game Engine and Rendering Engine.

Thanks to the techniques used in this engine, I can create games with nostalgic mechanics and retro-styled graphics. Inspired by well-known games from the 90s and 2000s. An example is the automatic Blender to 2D spritesheet pipeline I developed, which is currently being used in Car Park Capital.
