Press release:
Basin Keep, Dec 13th 2016 – The time has come to release a new massive update for CrossCode – We are proud to reveal that version 0.8.5 just went live and thousands of players are currently receiving the update via Steam.
After CrossCode’s last major Update in October, we’ve got shocking news today: Version 0.8.5 just went live, making the world bigger and ballsier than ever before. That also means most of the NPCs have finally stopped complaining about missing content updates. Those who were looking for new challenges will probably be happy to hear that a new bossfight has made its way into a shocking new dungeon. You’ve read right: The final element, Shock, has been included, allowing protagonist Lea to amp up her attacks… literally!
With the new update in place, the developers from Radical Fish also announced their plans for the future development of CrossCode. As of now, there are only three major content updates left until Early Access will be left behind.
CrossCode is a true homage to the 16 bit era. Think of Secret of Mana having an affair with the classic top-down Zelda games. Like, you know, a really wild one. It’s the Action RPG you’ve always dreamed about, a perfect synthesis of time-tested gameplay and modern controls. Slip into the role of Lea as she logs into CrossWorlds – a fictional MMO of the distant future. Experience a story full of mysteries and balls. Experience a modern take on the past.

If you are still not fully convinced, give the free demo on Steam a try! Seriously. You should do that. It’s an awesome Demo. And even includes some puns. And it’s fun.
This Press Release was created with the help of the CrossCode community. It was crowdsourced and discussed via an open document. Cause you can achieve true greatness when you’ve got the balls to give it a try. A ball a day keeps the hedgehogs away.

About Radical Fish Games:
We are a young studio and crazy about details. So we tend to polish our stuff, be it animations, controls, physics or that one pixel in the interface that just didn’t seem right. We like our games with a touching story and deep, fast-paced gameplay. You find those qualities in RPGs, Action-Adventures, Beat’em Ups, and all kind of genres, really. So we think: why not simply mix up those genres and create something new? And since we all grew up in the 16bit area, we add some good ol’ 2D sprite art on top. That’s what we do in a nutshell.
