Targem Games and Gaijin Entertainment are today very happy and thrilled to announce that they have just released the “Frostbite Assault” content update for their apocalyptic online action game “Crossout“.

The “Frostbite Assault” content update adds new cryogenic damage mechanics, new weapon types and vehicle parts for the Hyperborea faction and a temporary raid with unusual opponents, as well as a selection of improved maps for battles between armored aircraft. With the release of the update, a new battle pass season with 75 levels of rewards will also start.

New types of weapons include the powerful Jotun cryogenic howitzer. At the site of the explosion of its shells, a pool of coolant remains, which freezes the parts of all armored vehicles that fall into it, and also reduces their power and speed. You can also freeze opponent’s parts using the Narwhal cryocannon, and the Skadi cold launcher will help reduce damage from enemy weapons.

The new raid “Northern Justice” is designed for four players who repel attacks from unique armored vehicles of different classes. Some of the most interesting opponent types are Berserker (increased damage, but high vulnerability), Pyromaniac (uses a fiery weapon. After destruction, leaves a puddle of fire), Rocker (increases the damage of all allies in a certain radius around them), Leader (after their destruction, all allies in this wave receive a constant bonus to the damage dealt), Defender (imposes an aura of invulnerability on all allies within a certain radius of themselves, and others.
