Studio MDHR and iam8bit, together with distribution partner Skybound Games, team up to release the complete, physical edition of the award-winning game “Cuphead“!

The standard physical edition, which includes the Delicious Last Course DLC expansion, six collectible Cuphead funnies, a Cuphead Club membership card and exclusive interior art by Studio MDHR, is available for purchase at retailers worldwide and via the iam8bit store for $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.

The iam8bit exclusive Cuphead Collector’s Edition is also available for pre-order for $199.99, including the standard physical edition, a handcrafted marionette of the titular character, a hand-crank music box, an O-sleeve for game cases, and much more.

“A physical edition of Cuphead is something we’ve been excited about for a very long time,” says Studio MDHR Director Maja Moldenhauer.

“A big part of the nostalgia that fuelled the design of Cuphead centers around the wonderful, tactile experience of getting that game you love off the shelf, opening the case, and diving into a new challenge or grand adventure.

There’s nothing quite like it, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the teams at iam8bit and Skybound for helping us bring Cuphead into players’ hands with the same meticulous care and craftsmanship that underpins how we made the game itself. Fans can also look forward to the new Delicious Last Course 2xLP vinyl soundtrack as well as a repress of the Cuphead 2xLP vinyl soundtrack featuring music from composer Kristofer Maddigan. The Delicious Last Course vinyl also comes with three Studio MDHR recipe cards and an 18 x 24” foldout poster, while the Cuphead 2xLP comes in 1930s style packaging, previously unreleased solos, and a digital download code.

It has been five years since players first explored Inkwell Isles with Cuphead and Mugman. Since its release in 2017, Cuphead has become an indie phenomenon with a myriad of products and a more recently released animated Netflix series. Studio MDHR, iam8bit and Skybound Games are excited to continue to build on the legacy of Cuphead with the first physical release of the game for fans to own through the retail physical edition and Collector’s Edition.
