Press release:
The Netherlands – August 29, 2018 – 2Awesome Studio is proud to announce its partnership with LBC Games, the newly established publishing arm from Lightbulb Crew, the PC and Consoles indie developer, to publish the split screen shoot’em up Dimension Drive on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One digital storefronts on September 4th, 2018!
Xbox One players can already pre-order the game at this address.
LBC Games seeks out teams and projects they believe they can help reach their true potential. By supporting indie developers from development funding through relationships with the different platform holders to marketing and communications, LBC Games wants to create long term collaborations with their partners.
“We are true believers in the ability of independent developers to create unique experiences for gamers. Being indies ourselves we know intimately the challenges that comes with marketing and distributing your creations”, said Anders Larsson, CEO of Lightbulb Crew and Chairman of LBC Games. “Our goal is to work with our developer partners to make their vision come true and reach the right audience.”
The first game published by LBC Games is Dimension Drive, an intense shmup where the player must swap between split screens to succeed, from indie developer 2Awesome studio. “Two things attracted us to Dimension Drive, its innovative and challenging(!) gameplay, and the struggles 2Awesome went through to take the game to completion”, said Anders.
Dimension Drive is coming on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One on September 4th, which marks the final success of a long journey for the two ex-space engineers behind it. After a first Kickstarter campaign failed due to a fraudulent funding commitment that shook the industry, a second was successful.
“The support provided by LBC Games gave us the chance to bring Dimension Drive to all the platforms we wanted.” said David Jimenez from 2Awesome studio. “It has been hard work, but we have finally achieved what we set out to achieve back in 2015!”.
