Press release:
MicroProse and solo developer Chett are excited to announce that Factory Default: Build, Trade, Repeat will launch on September 8 for PC via Steam.

To celebrate the announcement, a brand-new trailer is now available, offering a fresh look at the game’s unique blend of global industrial strategy, deep production chains, and corporate management. A roadmap has also been made public.

A New Kind of Industrial Strategy

In Factory Default, players build and manage a worldwide industrial conglomerate, controlling every step of the production process—from extracting raw resources and refining materials to manufacturing advanced goods and trading them across a fully explorable 3D model of Earth. Inspired by real-world geography and resource distribution, every region presents unique opportunities for expansion, specialization, and profit.

As your company grows, so do the challenges. Secure global supply chains, negotiate supplier contracts, invest in research, manage your workforce, influence public perception, and decide whether to prioritize sustainability or maximize profits through aggressive corporate policies.
