San Luis Obispo, USA — October 16, 2019 — Global Game Jam, Inc.®, in partnership with Humble Bundle, today announced the Postmodern Bundle, now on sale through October 30th on the Humble Bundle storefront.

Featuring eight games including Beckett, Thomas Was Alone, Rusty Lake Hotel, Yume Nikki, The Stanley Parable, Everything and Catherine Classic, proceeds from the bundle will go toward the Global Game Jam charity, helping foster game design and education through innovative events throughout the world.

“The Global Game Jam is excited to be involved with this Postmodern Bundle with Humble Bundle, as the theme falls very much in line with the type of creativity and out-of-the-box thinking that we encourage,” said Kate Edwards, Executive Director of the Global Game Jam, Inc.

“We are deeply grateful to Humble Bundle for the opportunity and all proceeds from the sale will go toward funding our mission of bringing together hobbyist and professional game developers around the world for our annual jam next January.”

Beckett
A dark and unsettling narrative adventure that will shake players to the core as they take control of a reluctant investigator trapped in a depraved and despondent world.

Thomas Was Alone
Thomas Was Alone tells the story of the world’s first sentient AIs and how they worked together to “Emerge” into a better world. Players must guide a group of rectangles through a series of obstacles, combining their different skills to reach the end of each environment.

Rusty Lake Hotel
An eerie point-and-click adventure, Rusty Lake Hotel entangles in a surreal, strange setting inspired by David Lynch’s TV series Twin Peaks.

This allegorical exploration game presents players with endless conundrums wherein they play as Stanley, and not as Stanley, they follow a story but then not, they have a choice and do not have a choice… the game will end, but will never end.

Yume Nikki – Dream Diary
After Madotsuki falls asleep she begins to dream, taking her to a nexus of 12 doors, each leading to a different world. By exploring the various worlds within Madotsuki’s dream players will encounter a number of surrealistic horror creatures and locations in their quest to obtain 24 mysterious objects, known as “effects”.
