Harena Data and Indiana Sports Corp has just joined forces

WESTFIELD, IN – May 15, 2020 – Harena Data Inc., in partnership with not-for-profit Indiana Sports Corp, has formed Indiana Esports Development LLC.

Its sole purpose is to promote esports in Indiana on an academic, amateur, and professional level. One of the first efforts of this entity is the launching of The Esports Combine Indianapolis.

This convention will take place Sept. 25-27, 2020, and serve as a celebration of esports and its ever-increasing place in the academic world.

The Combine will feature:

Shark Tank-like pitch session

College League Showcase

Regional and National League Play

Exhibit Floor

Esports Analytics Lab

“Esports currently doesn’t have a similar path to pros in the same vein that traditional sports does and we’re changing that now,” said Derek Pew, CEO of Harena Data.

”By centralizing one main stage for athletes to shine, we’re removing the barrier that many athletes face in today’s industry and giving them all an equal playing field.”

“What’s unique about this opportunity is that along with the challenges at the combine, we’ll be providing in-depth esports analytics to properly assess and evaluate all of the prospects,” said Shawn Smith, Chief Product Officer of Harena Data.

“With our insights, teams and coaches will get a full analysis to see how well prospects can fit with their team, the potential they have, and how tournament-ready they are now.”

The combine will showcase the skills of thousands of esports players, have more than 100 industry speakers and influencers, and host to more than 1,500 business people and media.

“The biggest takeaway is that this isn’t just another esports event. We’re setting a precedent for how the esports industry as a whole should be as a standard,” said Bill Dever, Chief Creative Officer of Harena Data.

“We’re bringing together top athletes with world-class organizations to create an ecosystem that will change the future of esports management. Players no longer have to wait to be discovered. This is their time. We’re hoping that by the end of September, the global crisis we’re facing will be less dangerous to our attendees. We’ll be proactively setting cautious measures to ensure safety is a top priority.”

The Esports Combine Indianapolis will take place Sept. 25-27, 2020 at the Indiana Convention Center.
