Horizon Chase 2's Japan expansion is out now on Apple Arcade

Brazilian developer AQUIRIS are today very proud and happy to announce that the “Japan World Tour” expansion for their arcade racer hit “Horizon Chase 2“, is now available on Apple Arcade worldwide!

The new content brings players to the amazing geography and culture of Japan, allowing them to race through the high-tech cities, mystic dojos, beautiful gardens and deep forests. The new content integrates the World Tour campaign and is composed of 11 new races (9 regular ones and 2 break the boxes races) distributed in 9 cities. There is also a new car, Dream, unlocked after the most daring driver finishes all Japan races, it will allow 3 bodies and 6 paints for customizations!

Arakurayama Sengen Park

“Japan’s first track was designed to represent the country’s tradition, combining temple architecture with a striking setting, featuring Mount Fuji. Our intention is to present a contemplative and highly stylized environment, making use of a vibrant palette and a striking sunset, carefully positioned to enhance the horizons of the region.” – Rodrigo Bellão, Art Director.

Akihabara

“There is a strong aesthetic connection between Japanese cities and the 90s arcade racing games. To respect this legacy, we put a lot of love and care in the stylization of Akihabara. It is our tribute to the symbols of eastern pop culture, which inspire our team. Our intention was to represent a vibrant night, remarking the neon lights aesthetics, giant robots and monsters.” – Rodrigo Bellão, Art Director.

Lake Mashu

“Our goal with this track was to create a remarkable moment for our players. Mainly because it is the last track of the World Tour, we wanted to offer something special to the drivers who completed the journey. We also improved the dynamic weather system and visual effects to create a visually impactful track with an enjoyable gameplay challenge.” – Rodrigo Bellão, Art Director.

Race in 66 races distributed in 5 countries around the World in a unique, entirely 3D art style and unlock 11 cars. From the vibrant colors of each landscape to the immersive conditions of different weathers, all enhanced by a thrilling soundtrack made by Top Racer composer Barry Leitch, this game evolves the arcade racing experience to the next level. New horizons will steer you to the beauty of a stunning and inviting visual trip with no return.

GET THE BEST OUT YOUR CAR, CUSTOMIZE IT!

When visiting the Garage Shop players will be able to easily customize several parts of their cars, choosing amongst a wide variety of options making them as yours as possible. Collect new cosmetic items, and upgrade your stats throughout the World Tour. Race in different Game Modes and keep on the cycle of getting new visual rewards. Winning was never so worth it.

PLAY IT. REPLAY IT

Horizon Chase 2 was born to be a game in constant evolution, with dynamic evergreen events that will invite you to hone your skills and show off your rides. Major Updates will bring up new rewards, the Playground Mode will offer a brand new challenge every two days, the Tournament Mode defies the players to be the best in collections of several modified races from the World Tour mode. Both modes can be enjoyed alone or in groups of up to four players. Every day is an excellent reason to come back and race!
