Press release:
Porto Alegre, May 4th, 2023.
The Brazilian indie games developer AQUIRIS are today very happy and excited to announce a brand-new “Horizon Chase 2” update. The update “Viva La Fiesta” includes 3 new paints inspired by Latin culture and a new local multiplayer mode available for Mac and Apple TV. Also, general performance improvements were made to benefit all devices.
Now Apple TV and Mac owners can enjoy up to 4 players split-screen local multiplayer gameplay with friends:
The new local multiplayer mode game encourages cooperation and competition, with new players receiving a bit of assistance to complete the game, but the ultimate winner is being reinforced. You can help each other out by having other players collect Blue Coins while aiming for first place to secure the Super Trophy.
This classic gameplay style is reminiscent of Horizon Chase Turbo and other arcade racing games that defined a generation back in the 80s and 90s.
It is important to note that this feature is only available on Mac and Apple TV* devices (*unavailable for Apple TV HD, 2-player split-screen for Apple TV 4K 1st gen.).
The 3 new paints: Salsa Red, Jalapeño Dream, and La Vihuela will be available on the Playground’s rewards. Players will have to race online and get rewarded with tickets to be able to claim them:
