Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo — August 30 — Shueisha Games Inc. today announced that the release of its survivors royale game JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON, previously scheduled for 2026, has been postponed to 2027 with a 2nd trailer. The additional development time will allow the team to deliver the best possible experience to players. Shueisha Games will also host the world’s first playtest at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which starts on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

Release Date Moved To 2027

In JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON, players step into the roles of characters from JUJUTSU KAISEN and battle countless Cursed Spirits and rival players in an online survivors royale for up to eight players.

The game brings the series’ characters to life in the distinctive pixel art style of poncle, creator of Vampire Survivors. Players battle Cursed Spirits, grow stronger through combat, outlast their rivals, and fight to become the last one standing.

While the game was originally scheduled for release in 2026, Shueisha Games has made the decision to postpone its release to 2027 in order to further improve the game and deliver the best possible experience to players. Further details regarding the release date will be announced at a later time.

The 2nd Trailer Reveals More Playable Characters and Bosses

In addition to the new key visual unveiled at Juju Fes 2026, the fifth-anniversary event for JUJUTSU KAISEN held last month, this new teaser showcases the powerful attacks of the playable characters that will be available in the playtest version at the JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON area of the Shueisha Games booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026.

The trailer also features pixel-art animations of all eight boss characters. In addition to Naoya Zen’in and Kenjaku, who were unveiled for the first time at Juju Fes 2026, the lineup includes Junpei Yoshino, Jogo, Mahito, Uraume, Eso and Toji Fushiguro. These formidable bosses will also appear in the Tokyo Game Show 2026 playtest to stand in the players’ way of victory.
Build Your Own Fighting Style with the “Unite Build”

The game also puts a Vampire Survivors-inspired spin on character builds. In JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON, this system is called the “Unite Build”, allowing players to create unique attack builds while feeling as though they are fighting alongside their allies.

As players level up, they can not only strengthen the skills of their chosen character, but also incorporate the techniques of other characters into their own build.

Players can look forward to exhilarating action that combines the strategic fun of building their own fighting style with the powers of a variety of allies.

World-First Playtest Coming to Tokyo Game Show 2026

At Tokyo Game Show 2026, Shueisha Games will hold the world’s first playtest for JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON. Visitors will be able to experience the online battle royale mode for up to eight players.

In this mode, eight players compete for points while battling Cursed Spirits and one another. The two players with the highest scores advance to the final showdown, where they compete to become the champion.

The playtest version features characters and gameplay that are still undergoing adjustments. A survey will also be conducted at the venue to encourage participants to try the game and share their feedback and impressions.
