Squiddershins and Top Hat Studios invite you to be part of this unique quest for love in “Kaichu“, a kaiju dating sim where players put themselves in the hooves of Gigachu, and travel the world looking for a perfect match.

Never mind those mobile dating apps, the real romance is waiting on Steam, Epic Games, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, and the Xbox family at $9.99/8.19€/£7.19. The game will launch with a 15% discount.

In Kaichu, you’ll date one of six available characters, each with their own storyline and relationship obstacles. Every route will lead you to a series of compatibility tests that decide the fate of your relationship.

Fortunately, it seems that mass media is really into your sentimental affairs, and there’ll be human experts helping you learn about your potential partner. If the kaiju likes your answers, you’ll play a destructive courtship dance that will bring you together more and more — until a true love kiss seals your love.

GAME FEA-CHU-RES

Piece up your love story by flirting with one of the six kaiju available. Each character has their own storyline, personality, tastes, and conflicts, so there are no two routes alike!

Travel to some of the 24 locations based on real-world places with your special someone and smash monuments together. Kaichu is a nonlinear game, so you basically can explore the map in the order of your choice.

Test your compatibility through innovative quiz gameplay based on each kaiju’s personality and preferences. As Gigachu, decide whether to be true to yourself or choose the answers that make you look best to the kaiju of your interest — it’s up to you.

Fall before the beautiful hand-crafted backgrounds and lovely kaiju created by Jason Boyer in the style of saturday morning cartoons.

Move your body to the rhythm of Kaichu’s original soundtrack by Clark Aboud, who was behind the OST of Kind Words and Slay The Spire.
